On X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday a mock trade started to swirl on the social media platform, outlining a potential trade offer that could give the Red Wings two massive names on recent trade boards.
The move saw the St. Louis Blues sending Robert Thomas and Justin Faulk along with a 2026 third-round pick to the Red Wings for prospects Carter Bear and Nate Danielson as well as a pair of first round picks in 2026 and 2027.

Another user suggested the Blues might be looking for a deal similar to the one the Calgary Flames got for Rasmus Andersson. This being a pair of potential first round picks, an NHL-ready defenseman and a prospect. The remaining comments were intriguing with fans from both sides both saying they wouldn't want to take the deal if they were St. Louis or Detroit.
What say you reader? What do you think about this deal and should either side take it?
