Detroit Red Wings prospect goaltender Trey Augustine, whom they selected in the second round (41st overall) in the 2023 NHL Draft, is now officially a member of the American Hockey League affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins. 

He took the ice for the first time wearing new white and red gear, along with a newly customized Red Wings-themed mask. 

The Hobey Baker Award finalist for this season is ready to begin his professional career, and it may not be long before he starts getting action in Hockeytown, likely this coming fall in exhibition play.
