The Grand Rapids Griffins have gotten stellar goaltending out of prospect Sebastian Cossa, the 2015 first-round (15th overall) pick of the Detroit Red Wings.
He recently backstopped the Griffins to their 37th win of the season and did so with his fifth shutout, becoming the first Griffins goalie since Jared Coreau 10 years ago with at least five shutouts in a single season.
While the Red Wings appear set in goal with the tandem of John Gibson and Cam Talbot between the pipes, should the Red Wings consider giving Cossa a look in a few games down the stretch?
