The Detroit Red Wings cruised their way past the Colorado Avalanche in the second round of the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs en route to their 11th Stanley Cup win.

During the series, it was Red Wings forward Johan Franzen who made a special name for himself as a bonafide playoff performer, scoring a whopping nine goals in the entire series.

Not only did he score a pair of hat tricks, but he also managed to outscore the entire Avalanche roster by himself.

Franzen would later continue his timely scoring for the Red Wings over the next several years in the playoffs before his career eventually came to a close following a series of concussions.
