The Grand Rapids Griffins are attempting to tie their Calder Cup postseason series against the Manitoba Moose, and a highlight-reel goal involving several players who gained NHL experience with the Detroit Red Wings this season gave them a first period lead.

Michael Brandsegg-Nygård, who played in 12 games this season after initially making the roster out of Training Camp, broke the ice by capitalizing on a pretty three-way passing play with Sheldon Dries and John Leonard: 

The goal was the first of the series for the Griffins, who were defeated on Saturday by a 1-0 final score.
