On Friday morning, several members of the Detroit Red Wings spoke to media members, expressing their regret in being unable to return to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for what is now a 10th straight season.

However, both head coach Todd McLellan and general manager Steve Yzerman are scheduled to speak at a later date.

Among the Red Wings players who spoke were Alex DeBrincat, John Gibson, Patrick Kane, Moritz Seider, Lucas Raymond, Ben Chiarot, and Dylan Larkin.

The collective goal of the players is to ensure that they're not sitting at the same table in the Meijer Media Room at Little Caesars Arena discussing another missed chance at a postseason spot.

Will the Red Wings break their postseason drought in 2027, which is now the longest active streak in the NHL?
