The centennial campaign for the Detroit Red Wings has marked the arrival of several noteworthy rookies on the team, and there are plenty more waiting in the wings with the American Hockey League's Grand Rapids Griffins.

The Red Wings also have a bevy of prospects playing in separate leagues like the WHL and KHL. One such player is forward Carter Bear, Detroit's first round pick (13th overall) in this year's NHL Draft.

He's currently playing for the WHL's Everett Silvertips, and he's lighting things up with seven goals in his last four total games played.

Last season, Bear tallied 40 goals with 42 assists for Everett while skating in 56 regular season contests.

Bear is only 19 years old right now, meaning there's still plenty of development ahead of him. But if his play in the WHL is any indication of things to come down the road, he could be in store for some great things in his playing career.
