Introducing The Silky Mitten State

We're excited to announce the launch of THN Detroit's new podcast: The Silky Mitten State

I'm thrilled to announce the premier episode of THN Detroit's new podcast—The Silky Mitten State: A Hockey Podcast About Michigan.

I'm excited to be teaming up with Connor Earegood on a Red Wing-centric podcast that will also explore hockey topics from around the state of Michigan, especially the state's NCAA hockey.

Connor covers Michigan football for The Michigan Daily, and he also writes for College Hockey News, as well as serving as a contributor to THN's new college hockey site.

For now, we are just on Spotify, although we'll be working to broaden that as we move forward.

Both of us are still learning the podcasting ropes, but we're hoping to bring you a unique weekly look at the world of hockey around the great state of Michigan.

In episode one, we touch on a week of regression for the Red Wings as well as pleasant surprises from the season's early going.  Then, we dive into some college hockey, offering some early season reflections on what we've seen Michigan State and Michigan in the season's early days.
