Edmonton Oilers rookie Matthew Savoie will get a big opportunity tonight, as the team announced he'll be bumped up to the first line, where he'll get significant minutes with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl.

Savoie recorded his first career NHL point in Edmonton's 3-2 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday, where he assisted Jake Walman's game-winning goal. 

Savoie, who was acquired from the Sabres in July, is off to a promising start. Despite his lack of points, he's had plenty of scoring chances and is sure to catch some luck eventually. 

He'll have a good chance to tonight, when he pairs up with two of the league's best scorers.
