NHL makes announcement about the 2023 Heritage Classic between the Edmonton Oilers & Calgary Flames.
The Battle of Alberta is going to have an ice-cold game this year. The Edmonton Oilers will play against the Calgary Flames in an outdoor game at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta on October 29th.

This year is the 20th anniversary of the first ever Heritage Classic - which took place between the Montreal Canadiens and the Oilers. The Oilers dropped a 4-3 decision in front of 57,167 fans. Current Oiler executive Steve Staios recorded a goal and two assists, and was named the game's Second Star.

The Oilers only played the Flames three times during the 2022-23 season. There is no regular season schedule released at the time of this writing, but this special event will be a memorable game between the two teams.
Tickets will be exclusively available on Ticketmaster on a first-come first-served basis. They are on sale now as of 10AM Mountain Time.
