Evander Kane has submitted a 16-team list of teams he would accept a trade to. The Oilers are doing their due diligence to see if any of those teams can make a deal happen.

Additionally, some new information that clouds things even further for the Oilers has come to light.

The newest 32 Thoughts podcast dropped early Monday morning. Elliotte Friedman revealed some contract details that were not public knowledge until now.

The new Oilers forward, Viktor Arvidsson, has a full no-movement clause in both years of his contract. That means the Swedish forward cannot be waived, sent to the minors, or traded without him waiving his clause. This certainly increases the difficulty level of this year’s trade deadline.

Considering the Oilers' cap situation, this is less than ideal. The Oilers need to move dollars out to make a deal happen, even if a third party is involved in retaining salary.

At least with Kane, the team has some wiggle room and could get a deal done that takes money off their hands. Otherwise, this Trade Deadline could end up being quieter than anyone would like.

Oiler fans only need to wait a few days to see what kind of magic Stan Bowman can pull off.
