Star NHLer & Wife Excited for 2nd Bundle of Joy

Edmonton Oilers' defenceman Darnell Nurse and wife Mikayla are expecting their second boy.

In addition to all of the involvement with the team on the ice and with the community, the Edmonton Oilers' rearguard Darnell Nurse is an involved father. He and his wife Mikayla have a little boy, Aiden who just turned two.

Aiden Nurse was born the morning after a triple overtime defeat at the hands of the Winnipeg Jets. Nurse played 62:07 in the Game 4 loss, and then flew back to Edmonton to be at the hospital with his wife (fiancée at the time).

On April 14th, 2023 the Nurse family announced the upcoming arrival of child number two. Nurse took to Instagram to make the announcement. According to the post, the new child will be a boy born sometime in the fall.

Things are going to get busier in the Nurse household. Life with two children is different than just one, as any parent with multiple offspring can attest to.

Adding "father of two" to his list of accomplishments, Nurse will be looking to build on the career year he had in 2022-23. He recorded 43 points in 82 games, the highest point total in his career. Nurse and the Oilers will be hard at work trying to bring another Stanley Cup to the City of Champions.
