Taylor Hall got a new lease on his career this season when he was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks - the team that drafted the latest generational talent - Connor Bedard. He was brought to help mentor the rookie, considering that he was a first overall pick himself. That ideal scenario has come to an end, with an announcement on Hall coming this morning. Reported by Mark Lazerus of The Athletic, Hall will have knee surgery and miss the remainder of the season. Hall had four points in ten games played this season. He was averaging 16:20 of ice time a night. He's had at least two other major knee surgeries in his career. Whether it's the same knee or not, we'll need to wait for confirmation on that.
