That is almost double what Binnington played in his rookie year. Howard went through some ebbs and flows for the duration of his career, but didn't fall off until the very end of his career. His last two seasons he had a GAA higher than 3.00 and his last season is the only time in his career that his SV% was lower than .908%. His career average GAA and SV% are 2.62 & .912, respectively. Nedeljovic has struggled to find a rhythm since his rookie year, Binnington started strong and has fizzled out of late, and Howard was a consistently good goalie his entire career. This bodes well for Skinner that only one of these three goalies went through a slump in their sophomore season. Those are not terrible numbers, but we should maintain reasonable expectations for the 24-year old netminder.
