Buffalo won 10 in a row November 8-27, in 2018. The team goes for nine in a row Monday in St. Louis. Their hot streak has the fanbase dreaming of a playoff spot. The big question is if this is fool's gold.

Winning eight in a row is unlikely in general. Double down on that as Alex Lyon has been the team's primary goalie during the streak, though he has helped other teams similarly in his career. Offensively, there is talent, same with the top four on the blueline. 

Given how close the East is, Buffalo has at least put themselves in the mix. Will that continue? Unlikely, though none of the teams behind them in the standings have forced their into the equation.
