Half the 2025-26 season has been completed with most of the playoff spots up for grabs. One division where the top three spots look to be decided already is the Central. Colorado (31-3-7) has just three regulation losses in 41 contests and leads the division by 11 points.

Dallas and Minnesota each have 58 points with the Stars having a game in hand. The next closest team is Nashville at 42 points. This means there is a 16 point spread between the Predators and the two teams ahead of them.

Barring a collapse, the Stars and Wild will meet in round one of the playoffs with the only question, who gets home field advantage.
