The Panthers fell 5-1 in the Winter Classic but are 6-3-1 in their last 10 games. Matthew Tkachuk and Aleksander Bakov, both out all season with injuries, skated with the team in Thursdays practice at loahDepot Park. Barkov had a brace on knee while Tkachuk was in full gear but in a non-contact jersey. 

Tkachuk is close to returning, possibly back this week. His return will most certainly bolster the offense. Barkov, originally projected to miss the entire season, might have a shot at returning for the playoffs, If that happens, and cap concerns become a factor, Florida would have a more than decent chance at making a fourth straight Stanley Cup Final.
