The NHL has a six-game schedule Sunday. Of the 12 teams in action, nine of those squads are from the Eastern Conference. Six of the nine are either in a playoff spot or battling for one, making these contests imperative for those teams.

Columbus and Boston, who face each other, are currently in the first and second Wild Card spots. Tampa is the second team in the Atlantic Division, two points behind Buffalo with a pair of games in hand, while Montreal is four points back of Tampa. 

The Hurricanes lead the Metro Division and is tied with the Sabres for first in the conference at 98 points. Philly is five points behind Columbus for the second Wild Card spot with a game in hand. The last two paragraphs show that each of the six teams need a win for a different reasons.

The Canadiens end up the big winner Sunday with their predicted victroy keeping the team in their current spot and keeping the pressure on the Lightning and Sabres.
