The Florida Panthers are expected to enter the 2026-27 season with just two right-handed players in their lineup: Sam Reinhart and Garnet Hathaway. All four of the Panthers' centers are left-handed and most of the projected extra forwards are left-handed as well.

Of their extra forwards, only Cole Schwindt is right-handed, but he is a center and is capable of taking faceoffs.

Could this be a factor that hampers the Panthers? It hasn’t before, but things can change.
