Florida has several elite scorers who are all entering the prime years of their respective careers

The past couple of Florida Panthers seasons have been rather different than the 26 that preceded it.
A Stanley Cup Final appearance, a Presidents' Trophy, several playoff round victories, a year scoring the most goals in the league…yeah, it's been a fun, albeit unprecedented time for Cats fans.
In addition to the new and exciting success at the team level, there are also several individuals who have made some big waves in the scoring department while helping Florida become a perennial playoff team and proverbial 'force to be reckoned with' in the Eastern Conference.
Interestingly enough, for the first time in team history, two Panthers players scored 40 or more goals in the same season.
It only took 29 years (insert shrug emoji here).
Hell, before last season only one person had ever scored 40 goals in a Panthers sweater, and that was the great Pavel Bure.
He actually did it twice, scoring 59 goals in 2000-01 after scoring 58 the season before.
Beyond that, the closest a Panthers player came to reaching the 40-goal plateau (prior to last season) was Olli Jokinen, who scored 39 goals in 2006-07 and 38 the year before, and Sasha Barkov, who popped in 39 goals two seasons ago when Florida won the Presidents' Trophy.
Last year, Carter Verhaeghe led all Florida players with 42 goals. Matthew Tkachuk was right behind him with 40 tallies.
Barkov, who missed 14 games and battled injuries and illness throughout the year, saw his goal total drop to 23. Still, we know the potential of a healthy Barky.
Also, don't dismiss the idea of Sam Reinhart potentially joining the 40-goal party. He's scored over 30 goals in consecutive years (33 goals in 82 games in 21-22 and 31 goals in 78 games in 22-23) and could find himself with more top six minutes next year in addition to his key role in the middle of Florida's top power play.
Barkov, Verhaeghe and Reinhart are all 27 years old, and Tkachuk is just 25, so they're all in those prime, ascending years of their respective careers.
Bottom line is that the Panthers have a plethora of players who could crack the 40-goal mark in the upcoming season.
But which will it be? One of them? All of them?
Verhaeghe's big season came without him on Florida's top power play while Reinhart played mostly in the bottom six. Either could see a bump in those departments.
Meanwhile, the sky is the limit for a fully healthy and motivated Barkov, and Tkachuk may have still another gear or two to reach.
It should be fun to see how things play out for each.
