It’s a time to rest and recover, a time to be with family, and a time to have fun with friends.
Considering it’s the only period of the year when they can schedule big events while doing whatever they choose, it’s also a time many hockey players plan their weddings.
In fact, two Florida Panthers players tied the knot earlier this month, just a day apart.
Defenseman Gus Forsling married his new bride Daniella on July 8. He posted a couple pictures of the happy couple on Instagram.
A day earlier, forward Sam Reinhart said ‘I do’ with his now-wife Jessica in Southern California.
The Reinhart wedding was quite the affair, so much so that it garnered a feature in People Magazine.
As someone who has admittedly not read many wedding stories over the years, but conversely plenty of sports profiles, it was interesting to peruse the in-depth coverage of an athlete doing something other than playing their sport of expertise.
Though to be fair, the story focused a bit more on the new Mrs. Reinhart and everything the happy couple put together for their special day.
