The summer adventures of the Florida Panthers and the Stanley Cup continue this week overseas.

On Tuesday, it was Panthers forward Tomas Nosek’s turn to bring the historic trophy to his homeland.

Nosek had the Cup in his hometown of Pardubice, Czechia, where he made several special stops while sharing it with locals.

The day started, however, with an intimate breakfast that included Nosek, some of his closest friends and family, and Lord Stanley’s Cup.

“It was pretty chill, everybody ate something or drank something from the Cup,” Nosek said. “We had a pretty good time.”

He visited Enteria Arena, the home rink of his former youth junior team, HC Dynamo Pardubice, and took some time to spoke to a large group of youngsters and take some photos with them and the Stanley Cup.

It’s a place that holds a significant place in Nosek’s upbringing.

“I grew up with this club, from a little child all the way up to the pro league,” he said. “From here, I went straight to America. Everything started here.”

Nosek recalled seeing Milan Hedjuk bring the Stanley Cup to Czechia back in 2001, when he was just nine years old, and how sharing the Cup with the HC Dynamo Pardubice youth now was a very full circle moment for him.

“I was one of the children sitting in the stands back then, so it’s pretty cool that I can bring the Cup here today so everybody can see it, and hopefully motivate them to be a better player,” he said.

Keeping with the theme, Nosek also visited his former high school, where his mother still works as a teacher and his father is the track and field coach.

Later in the day, Nosek brought the Stanley Cup to a massive celebration at Pardubice’s historic Pernštýnské Square, where he was met by what looked like thousands of eager and excited hockey fans.

“It’s a hockey town, my city of Pardubice,” Nosek said. “There is a reason they call it a hockey town. So many good players used to play here, it’s an honor to be a part of it. It’s a great feeling.”
