The Kings captain keeps setting more franchise records

Saturday night, Anze Kopitar etched himself into the Kings records book once again as he set the franchise record for games played. He skated in his 1,297th career game for the Kings surpassing his former teammate Dustin Brown. The Kings captain is in his 18th year in the league and signed an extension with the team over the offseason.

Although the Kings were celebrating Kopitar's achievement through the night, they were still unable to pull out a win against the Boston Bruins. The Kings lost 4-2, but Alex Laferriere did score the first goal of his career. LA will look to bounce back against the Coyotes at home on Tuesday.
