The Habs forward was photographed alongside the beloved team mascot Youppi while wearing a red Canadiens T-shirt. The post circulated on multiple platforms outside of X including Reddit and Instagram.

Slafkovsky Sr captioned the post “Brossard 2014, July 19” adding a winking face emoji. The post left many fans of Montreal overjoyed, declaring that the former number-one overall selection was destined to play for the club one day.

Recently, Slafkovsky signed an eight-year extension with the Canadiens, valued at $60.8 million or $7.6 million annually. The forward is coming off an NHL sophomore campaign wherein he recorded 20 goals and 50 points while establishing himself on the top line alongside Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki.
