While the Canadiens’ prospect pipeline doesn’t hold franchise-defining prospects anymore, it does boast several high-end prospects that can provide that depth a contender requires to compete for a Stanley Cup. Organizational needs may not need a trade to be filled, especially due to some extra work in recent years to add quality depth with draft picks from outside the first round.
