Montreal Canadiens prospect Ivan Demidov scored his fourth goal of the season on Friday, snapping a two-game pointless streak.

After erupting for a four-point game on September 19, Montreal Canadiens prospect Ivan Demidov went two games without a point, seeing diminished ice time. However, his mini-scoring drought ended Friday when the 18-year-old potted his fourth goal.

During SKA's best offensive night of the season, an 8-5 victory over Severstal Cherepovets, Demidov deflected home a Tony Diangelo shot to break a 2-2 tie in the first period.

Through nine games, the fifth overall pick from the 2024 Draft now has seven points with four lamplighters and three helpers. Based on Elite Prospects projections, Demidov is on pace for 30 goals and 53 points.

SKA St. Petersburg is riding a five-game win streak, with the rookie contributing six of his seven points during the stretch.

After recording two goals and two assists against HC Sochi two weeks ago, Demidov saw his ice time slashed by five minutes in a 4-3 victory over Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod on September 21. Despite the reduced role, he had three shots. Two nights later, Demidov skated just 10:54, his second-lowest total of the campaign, resulting in one shot on goal.

On Friday, he got back on the scoresheet and is setting himself up for a special campaign in the KHL. He ranks 37th in league scoring, tied with 18 other skaters, all with seven points.
