
According to a report from Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports, the Montreal Canadiens have signed Alex Barré-Boulet to a one-year $775, 000 deal.
Barré-Boulet spent time both with the Tampa Bay Lightning and their AHL affiliate the Syracuse Crunch throughout the 2023-24 season. He tallied six goals and three assists through 36 games with the Lightning.
The Canadiens have been looking for depth to slide into their depth chart to support the back six forwards, or spend time with the Laval Rocket. He is signed to a one-way contract according to Eric Engels of Sportsnet.
The Montmagny, Que. native has played in 68 games in the NHL, wherein he has recorded 12 goals and six assists.
