Prior to puck drop on Saturday night, when the Montreal Canadiens will take on the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Habs placed four players on waivers. If they clear, the two forwards and two defenseman will be assigned to the AHL's Laval Rocket.

Forwards Lucas Condotta and Mitchell Stephens, along with defensemen Nicolas Beaudin and Brady Keeper are now up for grabs by another NHL franchise until early Sunday afternoon.

Beaudin played in Friday night's game against the Leafs, logging 18:32 in ice time and ending the night with no points and minus-1. Keeper last played on Wednesday, against the Ottawa Senators, and managed to only accrue four penalty minutes in his roughly 13 minutes of ice time.

This is the second round of cuts the Canadiens have made during training camp, after sending four players back to their junior hockey teams earlier in the month. More cuts are anticipated after the game against Toronto, as Laval's training camp is slated to start on Monday, October 2nd.

UPDATE: All four of these players cleared waivers, and will report to training camp in Laval.

In addition, the Canadiens placed two additional players on waivers on Sunday afternoon, with the intention of sending them to the Rocket if they clear. Those players are forwards Philippe Maillet and Lias Andersson.

We'll update this post with more information once it's determined whether or not Maillet and Andersson clear waivers or are claimed by another team.
