Montreal Canadiens' captain Nick Suzuki has had an incredible month and as a result, he will collect the January Molson Cup.

Montreal Canadiens' captain Nick Suzuki has had a great month of January. He lead the NHL in overtime goals with two and the teams in points with 15. The center also had a six-game point streak during which he racked up eight points, on top of reaching the 50-point mark for the third consecutive season.

Even in the losing efforts of late, the captain and his line have been delivering points and leading by example. The Canadiens have got five games left before the Four Nations Face-Off and it looks like Suzuki will be able to enjoy a much deserved break. While it must not be easy to miss out on such a tournament, at least he'll be able to get some rest, which should help him record a fourth consecutive 82-game season.

Suzuki will be presented with the Molson Cup on February,8 when the Canadiens face the New Jersey Devils on day one of family week-end at the Bell Centre. With 51 points in 51 games, he is on pace to be a point-per-game player for the first time of his career. So far, his most production season was a 77-point effort, which he produced last season.

The best thing about Suzuki though is that he keep improving every season and there's no reason to think we've seen his ceiling yet. With Cole Caufield firing on all cylinders right now and Juraj Slafkovsky upping his game of late, it's not out of the realm of possibilities that he could even break the point-per-game mark.
