    The dust has barely settled on the 2023 NHL Draft and already teams are announcing the start to their annual summer development camps where they'll evaluate the progress of their youngest prospects. Today, the Montreal Canadiens released the roster of players expected to attend this year's camp at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard, QC, which runs from July 1 through July 4.

    Six of the nine draftees selected in Nashville this week make up part of the 38 players who will be in attendance. The group is comprised of 19 forwards, 13 defenseman, and six goaltenders, including seven players invited to the camp on a tryout basis. David Reinbacher, Filip Eriksson, Florian Xhekaj, Luke Mittelstadt, Jacob Fowler, and Quentin Miller make up the 2023 draft representatives.

    Other notable names on the list include forwards Owen Beck, Riley Kidney, Filip Mesar, and Joshua Roy, defensemen Lane Hutson, Logan Mailloux, and Jayden Struble, as well as goaltender Jakub Dobes.

    Camp will be led by a combination of the Laval Rocket coaching staff and the Canadiens' hockey development staff, including Jean-Francois Houle, Kelly Buchberger, Martin Laperriere, Marco Marciano, Adam Nicholas, Scott Pellerin, Francis Bouillon, and Marie-Philip Poulin. A number of guest coaches from various leagues have been invited to assist the coaching staff as well.

    On-ice sessions begin on Sunday, July 2 at 9:15 a.m for goaltenders, with forwards and defenseman lacing up at 11:15 a.m. The same schedule applies on Monday, July 3. A team scrimmage is scheduled as the final event of the camp on Tuesday, July 4 at 11:00 a.m. All practices and the scrimmage are free and open to the public.
