Brady Tkachuk responded just under two minutes later with a power play marker. Five of the eight goals in this game were scored via special teams. Montreal grabbed the lead once again early in the second with Cole Caufield scoring his 26th goal of the season. Shane Pinto answered with a power play goal midway through the frame. Caufield scored his second of the period, his 27th goal marking a new career high for goals in a season. Tkachuk scored his second power play goal of the game just 47 seconds into the third period. Alex Newhook put Montreal ahead again with less than five minutes left. In all the Canadiens squandered four leads in this game with Ottawa tying the game at four goals apiece with just 65 seconds left in the third period. Drake Batherson scored the game-deciding goal in the shootout. The Senators swept the three-game series with the Canadiens this season. Ottawa has won nine straight times versus the Habs.
