Boston College is playing against Bentley in their first-round opponent in the Frozen Four tournament. They will play in the Manchester Regional on Friday. The Falcons got their first-ever entry and they are playing with house money. Fowler just needs to play his game. If he does that he will be fine but a goalie can’t win a game if his team doesn’t score. Playing against an underdog is always dangerous. There’s no getting around it. You should never look ahead and I’m not going to write about something like that this early on. I’ve covered enough NCAA tournaments and a few Frozen Four Finals to know, anything can happen. The opposing goalie, Connor Hasley, could be a hot commodity on the free agent goalie market when his season ends. He is 6 ‘2” and he had the 10th best goals-against average in the nation at 2.22. This right-handed college goalie will be a worthy opponent to Fowler. Both players will likely get a lot of notice in this game. James Hagens scored last game and there’s a chance that he’s the top overall pick in the draft so he will play a great game. Then Ryan Leonard, the Washington Capitals top prospect will want his playoffs to extend before he makes his inevitable professional debut. Gabe Perrault, is the New York Rangers top prospect and he’s possibly playing in his last playoffs with BC so this group of players will want to make a deep run after a shocking loss to Northeastern.
