The Nashville Predators sit dead last in the Central Division with a. iserable 8-12-4 recrod, prompting many to believe they'll be sellers leading up to trade deadline. However, it doesn't appear they're looking to move star forward Filip Forsberg.
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman said he doesn't "buy any Filip Forsberg trade theories at this time."
Forsberg, 31, has four years remaining on his eight year, $64 million contract that he signed in 2022. With four more years under team control and no signs of regression, Forsberg is ideal target for most contenders. That is, if Nashville decides to move him.
Through 24 games this season, Forsberg has the second most points on the team with 17 and holds a minus one rating.
