Is Tyson Barrie's Time in Nashville Coming to an End?

Elliotte Friedman is reporting that the Nashville Predators have given defenseman Tyson Barrie permission to talk to other teams.

Friedman reports that Barrie is expected to be a healthy scratch in today's game against the New York Rangers.

The word comes as the Predators lost defenseman Alexandre Carrier in Thursday's game against the Minnesota Wild. Carrier was hit by Kirill Kaprizov in the first period and did not return. The Predators announced Friday that Carrier is week-to-week with an upper body injury.

Later Friday afternoon, the Predators recalled defenseman Spencer Stastney from Milwaukee. Stastney has played five games for the Predators already this season. Milwaukee defenseman Marc Del Gaizo has also played five games for the Predators.

Barrie was a piece of the Mattias Ekholm trade last February with the Edmonton Oilers. Barrie played 24 games with Nashville after the trade and recorded three goals and 12 points. This season he has played 22 games and has nine assists.
