The Nashville Predators have signed veteran defenseman Luke Schenn to a three year deal. Schenn joins former Toronto Maple Leafs teammate Ryan O'Reilly in the move to Nashville. Schenn will also reunite with former Tampa Bay Lightning teammate Ryan McDonagh.

Drafted by the Maple Leafs fifth overall in 2008, Schenn spent four seasons with Toronto before moving to the Flyers organization. After four years in Philadelphia, Schenn signed shorter term deals with the L.A. Kings, Arizona Coyotes, and Anaheim Ducks before he was traded to Vancouver in 2019. After finishing that season with the Canucks, Schenn headed to Tampa Bay where he won back to back Stanley Cups with the Lightning. He returned to Vancouver in 2021 and was traded at the deadline in February of this year to the Maple Leafs.

Schenn brings a gritty presence to the blue line in his fifteen year career, and his last few seasons have been some of his statistical best. Although nearing the end of his hockey career, Schenn will provide veteran leadership and championship experience to a young locker room.
