The Nashville Predators kick off their 2023-24 training camp on Wednesday, September 20 with 61 players vying for their chance to make the opening night roster.
The Nashville Predators have released their training camp roster and schedule for 2023-24. Eight goalies, 21 defensemen, and 32 forwards will be participating in the camp that begins on September 20. This will be Predators' fans first look at free agent signings Ryan O'Reilly, Luke Schenn, Gustav Nyquist, and Denis Gurianov.
The players will open camp on September 20 with physicals and team meetings before taking the ice on Thursday, September 21 at Ford Ice Center Bellevue where most of the on ice work will take place this preseason. The team will practice daily September 21-24 before traveling to Florida to play a preseason double header against the Panthers on Monday, September 25.
Nashville will host their first preseason game on Wednesday, September 27 as they welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 pm CT at Bridgestone Arena. The following day, the Predators will travel to F & M Bank Arena in Clarksville to play an intrasquad game at the Gold Star Showcase benefiting the Special Operations Warrior Foundation before heading to Amalie Arena to play the Tampa Bay Lightning on September 30.
The Preds will hold their last practice at Ford Ice Center Bellevue on October 1 before closing out preseason practices on October 3 and 4 at Centennial Sportsplex. The final preseason games will be a home and away against the Carolina Hurricanes. Nashville will host the Canes at Bridgestone Arena on October 5 before traveling to PNC Arena on October 6.
The practices and five preseason games will help new head coach Andrew Brunette answer burning questions about how to best construct this Predators' roster as the franchise kicks off a new chapter.
