The Nashville Predators head to Calgary to take on the Calgary Flames on Tuesday for the fourth game in their five game road trip. Calgary has struggled early in their season and currently have a 3-7-1 record but are coming off of a 6-3 win over the Seattle Kraken on Saturday.

When the two teams take the ice Tuesday night, the Flames will be without their goal leader Andrew Mangiapane. Mangiapane received a one game suspension for "cross checking Seattle's Jared McCann" which is a very conservative description of Mangiapane's actions Saturday night. McCann was already down on the ice when Mangiapane cross checked the back of his neck at 9:45 in the first period. The officials reviewed the play and assessed a match penalty for intent to injure and Mangiapane was ejected from the game.

Today the NHL Player Safety announced Mangiapane was suspended for one game.

Mangiapane will have to watch while the Predators take the ice against his teammates Tuesday. Having the Flames' top goal scorer out will work in Nashville's favor, but the Predators will need to do to more than count on Mangiapane's absence to come away with another two points on this road trip.
