The 26 year old defenseman was poised to solidify his place on the blue line, but injuries in 2022-2023 have us wondering when we will see all he can bring to the Predators.
Alexandre Carrier played just 43 games for the Nashville Predators this season as he battle two different injuries. On January 24, Carrier was injured fighting Logan Stanley (who coincidentally was playing his first game back that night after missing 22 games with injury). Nashville's Quebec native defenseman returned from that injury and played just two and a half games before he was injured after being hit in the collarbone by a puck. Carrier wouldn't return for the remainder of the season.
Carrier's absences last season make it challenging to pin down exactly how he can best be used moving forward on the Predators blue line. We discuss his injuries, the Netflix character he most reminds us of, and we speculate on where we see him contributing next season as long as he can stay healthy.
