The Nashville Predators hosted the 2023 NHL Draft and GM David Poile and incoming GM Barry Trotz walked into Bridgestone Arena with pockets full of picks. Many of Nashville's eleven picks got to experience being drafted in the home arena for their new team including Sutter Muzzatti, Austin Roest, and Aiden Fink. Those three later round picks have been off to strong starts with their respective teams.

    Sutter Muzzatti

While RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) may not have had the start to their men's hockey season they would have liked, Muzzatti has been a reliable playmaker do far this season. The 1-5 Engineers are seeing much more to Muzzatti than his size — the 6'8" center is on a six game point streak that includes three goals and four assists.

Muzzatti and the Engineers will take the ice Friday and Saturday against Clarkson University where the sophomore hopes to continue his consecutive point streak.

    Austin Roest

Roest was Nashville's sixth round pick and is now in his fourth season with the WHL's Everett Silvertips. Roast is currently the second leading goalscorer for the 7-2-1-7 Silvertips with eight goals and 14 points on the season.

In the October 25 games against the Tri City Americans, 19-year-old Roest scored a hat trick and was named first star of the game. In the November 3 game against the Calgary Hitmen, Roest scored twice and added an assist for his second three point game of the season. The Silvertips are back in action Friday night against the Kelowna Rockets.

    Aiden Fink

Aiden Fink was GM David Poile's final draft selection as he wrapped up his long NHL GM career, but Fink is making a name for himself in other ways this season as a freshman playing at Penn State. In nine games, Fink has scored two goals and eight points for the Nittany Lions including two multi-point games in October.

The Calgary, Alberta native is currently tied for second on the team in assists and points and is on a three game point streak. Fink, 2020 seventh round Predators pick Chase McLane, and the PSU men's hockey team will travel to East Lansing this weekend to take on Michigan State.
