Andreas Englund took exception to the hit on his teammate and dropped the gloves with Rempe. When all was said and done, Rempe was assessed a two-minute minor for elbowing and a five-minute fighting major; Englund, meanwhile, was assessed two for instigating, five for fighting and an additional 10-minute misconduct. The Predators successfully killed the penalty but surrendered a goal at even strength when Artemi Panarin beat Annunen with a one-timer from the high slot to give New York a 1-0 lead at the 8:32 mark. SECOND PERIOD (NSH 0, NYR 3) The Predators' penalty trouble caught up with them early in the second period, when Jonathan Marchessault was whistled for tripping just 26 seconds into the frame. The Rangers scored on the ensuing power play, with J.T. Miller finding the back of the net to extend New York's lead to 2-0. Things went from bad to worse for Nashville when K'Andre Miller beat Annunen in transition, receiving a feed from J.T. Miller and roofing a backhand shot at the 3:25 mark to make it 3-0 Rangers. THIRD PERIOD (NSH 0, NYR 4) Brett Berard put it away for New York with just under three minutes remaining in regulation, going top shelf for the 4-0 final. PREDATORS VS.
