The New Jersey Devils have announced that goaltender Isaac Poulter has been recalled from their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Utica Comets.

Poulter's call-up comes after the Devils announced that star goalie Jacob Markstrom will be out for the next four to six weeks due to an MCL sprain.

Poulter, 23, has an 8-7-3 record, a .897 save percentage, and a 2.90 goals-against average in 19 games with the Comets this season. He has also been trending in the right direction as of late, as he has had a .960 save percentage or better in each of his last three starts.

Poulter has yet to make his NHL debut, but he very well could during this call-up with Markstrom going to be out multiple weeks.
