

The New Jersey Devils have announced that they have placed Nico Daws, Calen Addison, Jonathan Gruden, Mike Hardman, and Nathan Legare on waivers.
Daws is certainly the most notable of this bunch hitting the waiver wire. Teams looking for help between the pipes could take a chance on the 24-year-old. In six games last season with the Devils, he had a 3-1-0 record, a 1.60 goals-against average, a .939 save percentage, and one shutout.
Addison signed with the Devils this off-season in free agency. In 72 games split between the Henderson Silver Knights and Springfield Thunderbirds last season, he had five goals and 36 points.
Gruden split this past season between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Utica Comets, where he had eight goals, 10 points, and 18 points.
Hardman appeared in two games last season for the Devils, where he recorded one assist. He spent most of the season in the AHL with the Comets, however, posting 18 goals and 35 points in 57 games.
As for Legare, he posted zero points and 12 hits in three games with New Jersey last season. He also had 17 goals, 25 points, and 102 penalty minutes in 69 games with the Comets in 2024-25.
