The New York Islanders made a radical shift last Spring, moving on from Lou Lamoriello as the team's President of Hockey Operations and General Manager.

Still, at the time, there was thought that Lamoriello would remain with the New York Islanders as an advisor to ownership, somewhere Lou's value is indispensable, with his knowledge and history with game massive.

Monday, Lamoriello revealed his role in his public interview after his departure, talking with Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.
