New York Islanders forward Kyle MacLean took his rookie lap ahead of their battle with the Chicago Blackhawks.

When the New York Islanders hit the ice for warmups at United Center ahead of their matchup with the Chicago Blackhawks, it wasn't Ilya Sorokin who led them on the ice.

It was 24-year-old center Kyle MacLean, as he took his rookie lap ahead of his NHL debut.

MacLean was recalled Wednesday as he will fill the Casey Cizikas void, centering the fourth line alongside Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas.
