For the first time since signing with the Islanders, Duclair is seen donning his new gear.
On July 1, the New York Islanders inked free agent forward Anthony Duclair to a four-year deal with $3.5 million annually.
The 28-year-old played for Islanders head coach Patrick Roy during his junior days with the Quebec Remparts and shared that Roy was the reason he chose Long Island.
On Friday, we got our first glimpse of Duclair in his Islanders gear (@ap_hockeygroup on Instagram):
Yes, Duclair is rocking No. 10, which Simon Holmstrom wore last season. But it may not be an Islanders helmet in the picture.
The expectation is that Duclair will skate alongside Bo Horvat and Mathew Barzal on the top line.
Duclair scored 24 goals with 18 assists in 73 games split between the San Jose Sharks and Tampa Bay Lightning.
