The youngster has only played four professional games.
EAST MEADOW, NY -- Once the New York Islanders sent Samuel Bolduc back to Bridgeport after he got just one game, a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers, we were waiting to see if a corresponding move would be made.
If no move was made, defenseman Alexander Romanov, who had missed four of the last five games, was expected to be ready to return from his upper-body injury.
On Tuesday morning, the Islanders announced they had recalled 20-year-old left-side defenseman Isaiah George from Bridgeport.
The former fourth-round pick in 2022 has missed time this season, his first professional season, only playing in four games for Bridgeport.

He has a goal and an assist through four games, the red light tally coming on Nov. 1 against the Springfield Thunderbirds:
George played three seasons for the London Knights, with New York drafting him following his first year. He scored six goals with 17 assists for 23 points in 67 games that seaosn, 2021-22.
After a seven-goal, 15-assist 2022-23 campaign, George set a new career-high in 2023-24 with 30 points (six goals, 24 assists).
In the OHL Finals against the Oshawa Generals, George tallied three assists in their four-game sweep, setting up Game 3's double-overtime winner.
In the Memorial Cup Finals, George and London lost 4-3 to the Saginaw Spirit.
We shall see if George, who has skated in two preseason games -- he skated in one last year and one this year -- makes his NHL debut Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
