As the Boston University Terriers opened their season on Saturday night, New York Islanders prospect Cole Eiserman tallied the first goal of his NCAA career against the Holy Cross Crusaders.

The Islanders' 2024 first-round pick, 20th overall, let go a howitzer from above the right faceoff circle following a setup pass from Chicago Blackhawks prospect Ryan Greene.

The goal gave the Terriers a 2-0 lead en route to a 5-2 victory:

Eiserman's arrival at Boston University comes after two seasons with the United States National Team Development Program.

With Team USA, he tallied 53 goals and 25 assists for 78 points in 56 games.

On the international ice, he added 30 goals and 12 assists for 42 points in 21 games, including a pair of gold medals in the International Ice Hockey Federations U-17 and U-18 tournaments.

Eiserman's NHL arrival is still a few years away from joining the Islanders, but his first goal is a sign of what could be the franchise's future scoring threat.
