Here is the New York Islanders roster as training camp begins.

As the New York Islanders hit the ice for training camp, the club released the rosters.

Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello shared this information with us back on Sept. 11. Here's how camp will work. 

There are two groups consisting of players on NHL contracts, including PTO player Jackson Cates. The third group consists of players on American Hockey League contracts that we didn't see at rookie camp. 

Each day there will be four lines and six to eight defensemen. If there is an injury, a player from the AHL group will be taken and placed in the group that has the hole.
