The New York Islanders have yet to make Brock Nelson available on the trade market with a tad over 24 hours before the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline.
Here's what NHL insider Chris Johnston said on Thursday's Chris Johnston show.
"As of Thursday morning, it doesn't sound 100%, that the Islanders are signaling to other teams, or that they signaled to Brock Nelson himself, that he will be traded, which is kind of crazy when you think about it."
Johnston discusses how much of a seller's market it is and that Lou Lamoriello could cash in tremendously if he elects to sell Nelson, Kyle Palmieri and even Jean-Gabriel Pageau.
“The news, the information, as of right now [is that] Brock Nelson isn’t gonna be moved.”
You can catch the show here, with Nelson talk beginning at 19:00.
Reminder that Nelson and Palmieri have 16-team no-trade clauses.
