Islanders Fall 4-2 to Jets On Jan. 28, New York Islanders and New York Rangers legends will lace the skates up at Northwell Health Ice Center in East Meadow, New York, for the third annual Alumni Classic. All proceeds from the event will go to the Northwell Health Foundation. General admission seats start at $35, but the teams will offer various seating options and unique experiences for fans to get involved. The Hockey News has been told the names of the Islanders alumni who will be taking the ice: Shawn Bates, Coach: 2001-2008 Eric Cairns, No. 33: 1998-2004 Steve Webb, No. 20: 1996-2004 Benoit Hogue, No. 33: 1991-1995 Radek Martinek, No. 24: 2001-2011, 2012-2014 Marty Reasoner, No. 16: 2011-2013 Dennis Seidenberg, No. 4: 2017-2018 Johnny Boychuk (A), No. 55: 2014-2020 Matt Moulson, No. 26: 2009-2013 Kip Brennan, No. 37: 2007-2008 Dave Scatchard, No. 38: 1999-2004 Pierre Turgeon, No. 77: 1991-1995 Kevin Poulin, No. 60: 2010-2015 Fans can buy packages for the event, which include a VIP meet-and-greet with participating alumni, a group on-ice photo, and chances to coach and play alongside the teams’ greats. Another package allows for fans to meet one of the players and receive a jersey off their back; these options are limited. This is the third straight year the New York rivals will come together for an alumni faceoff. The teams first hosted the event in 2022.
